Dr. Mark Zediker is NUBURU, Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors. Dr. Zediker co-founded Legacy NUBURU and has served as its Chief Executive Officer or Chairman since its incorporation in 2015. Prior to that he co-founded two other laser companies, Nuvonyx Inc. and Foro Energy Inc. Dr. Zediker holds a BS in Engineering Physics, an MS in Nuclear and Plasma Engineering and a PhD in Nuclear and Plasma Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign..

Brian has over 23 years of experience in high power lasers and optics. Brian has successfully run Engineering, Operations, and Marketing at a number of high-tech companies in the laser and energy industries.

Brian graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with master’s degrees in electrical engineering and Applied Physics in 1998; he also received a master’s in Six Sigma from Villanova in 2006 and master certificates in Business Management and Marketing from Tulane in 2009.

Brian brings over 25 years of experience as a three-time public company CFO. Most recently, Brian served as CFO for CEA Industries Inc., (Nasdaq: CEAD) and for Proximo. He also previously served as Senior Vice President and Interim CFO of ViewRay, Inc., (Nasdaq: VRAY).

Brian graduated from Thomas More University with a degree in Accountancy in 1993. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Ohio.

Dr. Philpott has 22 years of experience in the laser industry, recently focusing on the electric vehicle market at Coherent. There, he led a multiyear global team effort to grow Coherent’s business, making it one of the top suppliers of lasers for battery manufacturing. Besides success in the EV market, he has held a wide range of roles in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development with expertise in materials processing, microelectronics, display, and bioinstrumentation. Dr. Philpott holds a BS in Chemistry and a PhD from the University of Washington in Physical Chemistry.

Teresa brings over 25+ years of experience working in private and public companies, including Kentucky Fried Chicken, HEBEA Consulting Group, MWH, and Stantec Consulting, occupying different HR leadership positions.

She graduated from Universidad Anahuac del Sur in Mexico City with a BS in Industrial Relations. She is a Senior Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM-SCP) and holds an Unconscious Bias Trainer Certification from CCDI and Mental Health Ally Certification.
